Harnec's thesis begins with remote presence, then treats machines, controls, sensing, and operational evidence as one system. These are intended design layers—not deployed products.

01Concept

Remote presence

Human control moves beyond the work zone.

Teleoperation is the first control layer in Harnec's thesis. The operator retains authority while cameras, sensing, communications, and machine state are composed into a legible remote environment.

Intended principle: human authority remains explicit.

02Concept

Mixed fleet

Design new machines. Extend the useful ones.

Not every task needs the same machine strategy. The intended fleet can combine purpose-built robots with selectively retrofitted conventional equipment, organized around shared controls and operating conventions.

Concept only: no Harnec machine or retrofit product is currently claimed.

03Concept

Fleet coordination

The unit of design is the operation, not the robot.

A robot becomes more useful when task state, machine health, intervention, and evidence can be understood across the fleet. Harnec aims to treat coordination and operational records as part of the machine system from the start.

Intended principle: every task should leave a legible record.

04Concept

Earned autonomy

Trust expands only as evidence earns it.

Autonomy is introduced for bounded, repeatable tasks with known state, defined limits, and a clear path back to human control. The goal is not autonomy everywhere. It is the right authority at each moment.

Intended principle: bounded, validated, reversible.
